Mazda service

Mothers know best, right? Well, Mother Nature is no exception. Think of the changing seasons as her gentle reminder to schedule your Mazda service at Cook Mazda to make sure your vehicle is prepared.

Test Your Battery

Extreme temperatures can quickly drain your battery. Now is an opportune time to have your battery tested. You want to ensure the hot summer sun hasn’t drained your battery, but you also want to make sure it’s ready for the cold winter months ahead. No one wants to be left stranded in the cold!

Inspect Your Tires

As the weather starts to cool, it’s also a good time to check your tires. Cold weather can cause your tires to deflate, so you want to make sure they have adequate pressure. You also want to make sure that your tire tread is at least 2/32 of an inch (at the very least). Bald tires won’t give you the traction you need on an icy terrain.

Check Your Windshield Wipers

With too much exposure to the sun, your windshield wipers can crack. This means they won’t be able to properly clear your windshield. You want to make sure they are ready for inclement weather. Now’s a good time to fill up your windshield wiper fluid as well.

Examine Your Heater

The weather is cooling down and it’s time to kick on our heaters. You want to make sure yours is properly functioning now before the truly cold days hit. It’s also a good time to check your cabin air filter to see if it’s overdue for a replacement.
